Point Abeona is a 500 m long, sandy and shelly spit, that partly blocks the entrance to Limeburners Bay. The spit has been built by low southern waves running along and wrapping around the point. The low spit is backed by the bay and fronted by shallow, seagrass covered tidal flats.
