The Coolangatta Surf Life Saving Club (1599A) is located at the western end of the beach, 100 m east of the groyne. The club was founded in 1958 and is situated in a foreshore reserve that runs the length of the beach. The club is backed by Marine Parade, high rise apartments and the Coolangatta shopping area.
